Historic 1890 Windermere School House

The historic 1890 Windermere Schoolhouse, located at 113 West Seventh Avenue,  Windermere, FL in the 34786 zip code, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. Also known as the Armstrong Parramore House, the schoolhouse was built in 1890, renovated around the year 2000, and is the oldest historical site in Windermere.

The building served the community as a schoolhouse until 1916. The structure was also utilized as a community center, holding social and religious events, as well as a voting center and meeting place for the Town of Windermere Woman's Club.

The Town of Windermere is home to the monthly Food Truck - Family Friday Night every fourth Friday of the month, from 5pm - 9:30pm.

Local food truck vendors can include Kona Dog, Monsta Lobsta, Silver Bistro, Fork in the Road, City Eats, and the Sit 'N Stay Pet Cafe, the Yum Yum Cupcake Truck, and many more!

President Obama Visits Isleworth in Windermere Florida

President Obama will be visiting Windermere, FL next week, for a lavish fundraiser being held at NBA Star - Vince Carter's home in the community of Isleworth.

Tickets to the event being held on Thursday February 23rd, 2012 cost $30,000 per plate.

The President's campaign fundraiser will take place on the same weekend as the 2012 NBA All-Star festivities, which is being hosted at the Amway Center in Downtown Orlando.
