1. You Thrive On Bright Lights and Late Nights.

Windermere, Florida, may not be known for its nightlife scene, unless you count the nightly Magic Kingdom fireworks (and honestly, we do). What it IS known for is its laid-back small-lake-town vibe. It is ideal for those seeking a bit of an escape from city life, while still being about 30 minutes from the heart of it all in downtown Orlando or a short drive from date nights on Restaurant Row in Dr. Phillips.

2. You're Not A "Lake Person".

Boat and Dock on Lake Butler Sound Between The Butler Chain of Lakes (made up of 13 interconnected lakes) and dozens more throughout the greater Windermere area, there's no shortage of on-the-water fun. So if spending weekends fishing, wakeboarding, or cruising on a pontoon boat doesn't sound like your kind of weekend, then Windermere might not be your spot.

Then again, even if you're not an "on-the-lake" person, you still can't beat sunrises over Lake Butler, or a lakeside picnic at the Lake Down Park. Not to mention all of the other outdoor fun to be had like golfing, walking paths, Tibet-Butler Nature Preserve trails and wildlife viewing. Oh, and downtown events like the weekly farmers market, monthly food truck nights, or the many annual events.

3. You Want A New Construction Home.

While it's true that most of Windermere's communities are established and there isn't a ton of new construction properties to choose from, like in neighboring Winter Garden or further west in Clermont, Windermere still has pockets of new home communities to explore. If you're seeking new construction in Windermere, be sure to check out Palms at Windermere, Lake Cawood Cove, and Saddlecrest at Windermere (located right on the border of Winter Garden & Windermere).

For those who crave charm, a small-town feel, and a little lakeside magic just minutes to Disney, it's hard to imagine anywhere better than Windermere.
