Where Is the Windermere Golf Cart District?
The Windermere Golf Cart District is located in the downtown district, but does not include the entire incorporated Town of Windermere. The northeastern section begins near Park Avenue and Lake Butler Boulevard and extends toward Maguire Road and Main Street. The southern portion reaches approximately 13th Avenue and Main Street, while the eastern boundary extends toward Ridgewood Drive and East Sixth Avenue, also known as Conroy Windermere Road. From one end of the district to the other is approximately three miles.
Please note that there are a few exceptions in downtown that are not included as a designated route, including E. 6th Avenue, which extends from Main Street towards Conroy Windermere. Please check the boundary map for alternative routes such as E 5th Avenue or E 7th Avenue.

- Maximum speed: A traditional golf cart cannot exceed 20 MPH.
- Approved roads: Golf carts may be operated only on designated golf cart roadways with posted speed limits of 30 MPH or less.
