How would a friend describe downtown Windermere? It has a feeling of a southern town like Savannah or Charleston, but on a smaller scale. Picture live Oak trees with sprawling canopies, hanging moss, brick-lined streets in the town square area with a picturesque square, a historic Town Hall building serving as the centerpiece of the town, sandy dirt side roads, and winding sidewalks, all of which lend to the feeling of stepping back in time. Weekly farmers markets and monthly food truck nights connect residents with the downtown and bring visitors in to enjoy the town's atmosphere.
This is often what stands out most. A true small town scale. Streets that feel lived in and cozy. A downtown that connects people and place.
