In a significant development for residents commuting between Lake and Orange Counties, the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) has greenlit the first phase of construction on a new roadway, the Lake/Orange Expressway, also known as State Road 516. This approval, unanimously granted by CFX's governing board, marks the commencement of the first phase of a project that addresses the growing demand for improved transportation infrastructure in one of the fastest-growing regions in Florida.
